SC-1090 is a protective topcoat designed to be used with the peelable protective base coatings of SC-1074A-2, SC-1074B-1 or SC-1074B-2 to protect plastic, metal, porcelain and painted surfaces during in-plant manufacturing. , operation, transportation and storage. The SC-1090 serves two purposes in the peelable protection system. It makes the protection substrate waterproof and provides both light and heat reflection to the system as it forms an opaque white film. SC-1090 increases the weather resistance of the peelable protective liner.

SC-1090 can be applied on the protective base coat before it dries completely. Therefore it allows for a very short application cycle. The SC-1090 dries quickly to a rain-resistant coating and also allows it to continue drying under SC-1074A-2, SC-1074B-1 or SC-1074B-2.
