PPG® Deft® 02-Y-040A Quick Dry Epoxy Primer is a high-solids, chemically cured primer that offers superior protection against corrosion, chemicals, and solvents. Compatible with MIL-PRF-85285 polyurethane topcoats, it is used by the U.S. Military for protecting aircraft exteriors. The high solids formula ensures excellent adhesion and acts as a barrier to prevent moisture, chemicals, and solvents from reaching the aircraft's surface. It is resistant to immersion in hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, phosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids, Skydrol®, and more.
The PPG® Deft® 02-Y-040A MIL-PRF-23377 Type 1 Class C2 Quick Dry Epoxy Primer is yellow, making it easy to see where it has been applied, facilitating quick visual inspections for complete coverage. Designed to dry quickly, it reduces maintenance time, allowing for faster turnaround. The primer is sold in a convenient gallon-size kit with pre-measured components. Key features include high solids, excellent adhesion, corrosion inhibition, and resistance to various fluids and distilled water.
