AeroShell Oil W120 is an ashless dispersant oil developed specifically for aviation piston engines. Combines non-metallic additives with selected high viscosity index base oils to provide exceptional stability, dispersion and antifoam performance. There is no general rule of thumb for every engine type when choosing the right oil type; however, depending on the average outdoor temperature during engine start-up, the most common grades are SAE 40, SAE 50 and SAE 60, which are respectively equal to AeroShell Oil W80, W100 and W120.
Traditionally, the choice is associated with climatic zones - AeroShell W80 for cold climates (-17 - 21 ° C), AeroShell Oil W100 for temperate zones (15 - 30 ° C), and AeroShell Oil W120 for warmer climates (26 ° C). above)
AeroShell Oils W65, W80, W100 and W120 are manufactured to fully meet SAE specification J-1899 (Grades SAE 30, 40, 50 and 60 respectively). In addition, all of them have military qualification approval and are listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) issued by the US Navy and the Technically Acceptable Products List (TAPL) published by the UK Department of Defense. The blending plants used to produce these oils also have the approval of the specification authorities and this ensures that the high quality standard is maintained at all times.
Health and Safety: AeroShell Oils W65, W80, W100 and W120 do not pose a significant health or safety hazard when properly used in the recommended application, and industrial and personal hygiene standards are maintained.
Features
Encourages Engine Cleanliness. The ash-free polymeric additive has been developed to help eliminate harmful combustion chamber deposits that occur during normal operation.
The High Viscosity Index Base Oils used in AeroShell W oils preserve their viscosity and help protect engine components more effectively under the high shear stresses an engine places on the oils.
It provides compatibility with other approved aircraft piston engine oils. As AeroShell Oils W65, W80, W100 and W120 are fully approved for SAE J-1899 and listed in the relevant Qualified Products List (QPL), as long as these oils are, detailed precautions are not required when switching from similarly approved aircraft engine oils. are quality products.
AeroShell W Oils are naturally stable in storage. Long-term storage has no effect on their quality, characteristics or performance, provided they are stored and used correctly.
