Benefits and Uses

CITRA-SAFE®, developed for use in the aviation industry, is a low volatility substitute for Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Trichlorethylene, Toluene and mixtures of MEK and Toluene. CITRA-SAFE® is specifically made for surface preparation, general solvent cleaning and pre-sealing cleaning. It is a fully biodegradable solvent substitute for mineral spirits, thinner and chlorinated solvents.

The use of CITRA-SAFE® can reduce or eliminate the use of HAPs and VOCs. Using CITRA-SAFE® improves worker health and safety compared to traditional solvents. Cleaning will result in a residue-free surface that is fully prepared for paint or sealant application.
